An itinerary through the caruggi (the narrow alleys of the historic center), to discover the most authentic side of Genoa, revealed through its “fragments of time”: the historic shops. Since 2011, the official Register has protected them as keepers of an excellence that values substance over show.
This journey is made of stories, people, and a beauty that feels no need to show off: artisan workshops where time stands still, ancient spice shops, chocolate makers, and confectioneries. We will taste local staples like pesto, focaccia, and farinata, alongside anything else that piques your curiosity.
Genoa is more than just flavor; it is craftsmanship—from precious vintage items to the legendary Jeans fabric, which has its deepest roots right here. An experience to become a true “Zeneize” (Genoese) for a day and to truly live Genoa, not just visit it.

Upon request, the tour can be integrated with a demonstration dedicated to the preparation of Pesto (cooking show). Please inform me in advance of any allergies or specific dietary needs so the route can be adapted accordingly.
