duration

All ages
Genoa’s noble palaces are a European unicum—prestigious residences from the Republic’s Golden Age that even captivated Peter Paul Rubens. This exclusive tour offers a glimpse into the “Century of the Genoese,” (XVI-XVII c.) an era of powerful financiers who shaped Europe’s destiny.
Beyond Via Garibaldi, we will explore the private world of an aristocracy that blended political power with extraordinary aesthetics. Together, we will discover the Rolli system—a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2006—reflecting the supreme elegance of “Genoa the Superba” through frescoed halls and hidden gardens. We will visit frescoed halls, magnificent courtyards, and gardens worthy of kings and their courts, discovering how the current museum identity of residences such as Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Spinola, or Palazzo Reale preserves the intact charm of ancient private homes
The visit includes 3 or 4 palaces (such as Palazzo Rosso, Lomellino, or Tobia Pallavicino) based on private availability. To ensure bespoke access, please book at least one month in advance. The route is fully accessible via elevators. Entrance fees are not included.
